Wondering What Camp is Like?
Besides kind people, fun activities, challenging Bible lessons, and fantastic food, there is a lot a person can expect when they are at camp! If you keep scrolling, you can read about it.
You can expect to meet God
It is not always obvious to us, but at each and every camp, we see God at work while we are enjoying His plans for us. Yes, we have devotions each day. Yes, we have Bible lessons. And yes, we have a gospel challenge each evening. But while we participate in activities, enjoy deep relationships, and thoroughly enjoy the time that seems to fly by every year, we find clear evidence that God was at work. Each person will have their own story of how they learned who God is, but many will learn it at camp. Our prayer and our experience has been and continues to be that camp will be a new beginning in your heart with God if you choose to join us and find out!
You can expect to be safe
Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual safety are all top priorities at Kids Camp. Here are some of the guidelines and rules that we follow to ensure that Kids Camp is a safe place for all who attend. Two Adult RuleFor the safety of both the campers and the adults, we have the two-adult rule. This means that an adult may never be alone with a child or a group of children. Even though every adult must agree to have a background check performed, and even though each adult is only allowed to come with a good recommendation of another Christian adult who is part of camp, we still hold strictly to this rule. This safe-guards the children at camp from ill-intentioned adults, and it protects the adults at camp from wrongful accusations. This means:
- Every adult who is with children must be within clear eyesight of at least one other adult
- No adult may enter a bathroom which has children in it. They must find a different bathroom or wait until the children exit the bathroom.
- Note: There are instances where a very young child may need assistance in a bathroom. In these cases, two adults must assist the child together.

Two Adult Rule
For the safety of both the campers and the adults, we have the two-adult rule.

Medical Awareness
The camp has a full-time nurse on staff to assist in case of medical concerns or issues that arise - both small and large. The nurse requires that all medication & supplements be turned in to the nurse's station as people arrive at camp to ensure that nobody takes the wrong medication and to ensure that people that need their medication receive it per their doctor's instructions. All medication is also required to be brought in official, properly labeled containers from the pharmacy. (Normally a pharmacy will be able to provide extra containers if necessary.)

When a medical emergency arises with a child, the staff will call 911 if appropriate, and will attempt to contact the parent/guardian of the child. If the parent/guardian cannot be reached, the emergency contact on the child's registration form will be called. If neither of these people can be reached, then the nurse will make decisions necessary to protect the child's health and safety.

Boys and Girls
Our aim for boys and girls at camp is that they would have a safe place to form godly relationships with one another. There is no attempt to prohibit appropriate and god-honoring interaction with one another. We encourage friendly physical touch such as handshakes and high fives, but wrestling, hugging and more intimate interactions are not allowed. No dating is allowed at camp. Girls and boys are also required to dress modestly (see the dress code here).

Pranks and Bullying
Pranks are not allowed because what may be fun for the prankster may be very uncomfortable or painful for the recipient of the prank. Each person at camp is assigned to a cabin for the whole camp, and ostracizing some from the group is not allowed. The same rule applies to everyone assigned to a table for meal-time. Meal-time assignments are given for the whole week, and this allows all of the campers to know that they are accepted in the group as they are. Ostracizing, bullying, and pranks inflict both emotional damage and they also make it harder for people to form a close relationship with God.

Exclusion of individuals for any reason is not allowed. The only reason a person will be separated from the group will be for their safety or the safety of others.
